Bacardi, 150th Anniversary Bottle, Bacardi Cocktail

Bacardi Rum is celebrating it's 150 year anniversary and released the Silver Rum with their original label and recipe that is considered to be from the days.

It's a little higher Proof (44.5% alc) than current, but has a very soft and round flavors.

Since the price is about the same as the silver one, I'm going to buy couple bottles to keep!

Bacardi Cocktail

2oz Bacardi Superior Rum
3/4oz Lime Juice
1/2oz Grenadine
Shaken

Basically a Daiquiri, but in order to call this a Bacardi Cocktail, you have to use Bacardi Rum because of this story.
After the Prohibition era has ended, Bacardi came up with this cocktail to promote their Cuban Rum in the United State and was very successful.
However, a Bar in New York was serving this cocktail without using Bacardi Rum and got in to a lawsuit.
Finally in1936, Superior Cort of New York pronounced that a Bacardi Cocktail must use Bacardi Rum as the base liquor.
